There was fire, there was fear. I made it out of the valley. Now I'm sitting on a cliff...beside one of God's guardian angels, watching the smoke dissipate slowly.
I wonder what will be there once all the smoke is gone...I expect ashes. Perhaps deadness. But I also expect an END to the drama, the battle, the danger, the fear. I know it's dead too. It won't be following after me. It ALL burned up in the valley.
Sometimes God sends his FIRE to our valley...maybe the "valley of the shadow of death". I might feel a deep sense of loss or sadness, the feeling that everything around me was destroyed. But from that fire, there is also a burning away of lies.
"You shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free."
